Mini-roundabout outside Stanley Market

Just outside the entrance to the market is the mini-roundabout, To go into the main part of the market take the left hand side.  Here you also find a Watsons the Chemist which is very useful stop for any medicines or cosmetics you might need.  Forgot your suncream? Need some sticking plasters? Watsons would be the place to get what you need!

On the right is the new and modern Stanley Municipal Service Building, this government managed building contains important services including the Public Library and the Sports Centre, the Stanley Village Hall. There is also an indoor airconditioned Children's Play Room which is a great place for the kids to run off some energy safely inside.  That is on the upper ground floor, opens at 9:00am and is free.  It does close for 10 minutes every hour for cleaning as well as an hour after lunch from 2 until 3.  Closed at 10pm.

Lastly, but just as important, there are clean toilets available here. The ground floor has public toilets available from the street level, but upstairs in the sports hall there are more next to the changing room which are rather cleaner.

While often visited for the view the visitor should not forget that The Market encompasses a wide range of shopping and dining options, from the casual to the sophisticated.  Within the Stanley area are examples of many of Hong Kong's most authentic and distinctive styles, as well as international choices to fit all palates and budgets.
