Alter and kneeling cushions

Inside the temple is an alter at which incense sticks may be lit, offerings made and prayers offered up to Pak Tai in the hope that he will assist with protection from the sea. Temples to Pak Tai are always close to the sea, or at least with an uninterrupted view given that most of the Hong Kong coastline is now reclaimed.

The cushions for kneeling before the alter are embroidered with the word 福 (pronunced as fuk with first tone) which literally means luck.
